Iggy Pop recently did a tribute performance to honor Madonna's recent induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame by doing a cover or "Burning Up" and "Ray Of Light."
Iggy was great .... 30 YEARS AGO !!!
This is just HORRIBLE (profanities intentionally omitted so my Google ads don't convert to public service announcements).
Poor Iggy who's been around long before Madonna has not even been inducted into the RRHOF yet. By the way... Iggy is 60 and Madonna's turning 50 this year. Both Madonna and Iggy come from the state of Michigan. Iggy, known as the Godfather Of Punk is recognized as the first musician to "stage dive" (meanwhile Madonna is notorious for her muff diving capabilities)
Don't watch on a full stomach...
Here's my fave Iggy track from 1977, "Lust For Life"
And here's Madonna's orginal videos...
Burning Up
Ray Of Light
Here's Iggy and Madonna in a 2005 commercial for Motorola's ROKR cellphone
and here's a great cover of another Iggy classic, "The Passenger" by Siouxsie & The Banshees (one of my fave bands in my college days)

Iggy's version of "Burning Up" sounds like "God Save The Queen"
